Busy, busy, busy...
So it is Sunday...the least busy day of my week. This week was crazy. I knew it was crazy, but when I went back and looked at what I actually did and it was a lot. I worked 42 hours, had 16 hours of class, multiple hours of homework, babysat three times, hung out with several friends, went on a hike, went to the zoo, celebrated a first birthday, had a chiropractor apt, played travel planner for my mom's surprise trip to Cali, worked out, ran several errands, and cleaned the house, then somewhere in there managed 6 hours of sleep a night. I had a blast of a week. Now, I just have to get my homework done for tomorrow and get caught up on a few other things.

President's Day
So, President's Day is an interesting holiday to me. I got school off and I am very thankful for that, but I didn't once think about presidents during the day. Why is the day such a big deal and everyone gets school and work off if no one even thinks about who the day is about?
Anyway, my President's Day this year was spent working with my three favorite little girls: Eva, Alexis, and Charlotte. It was semi uneventful day as we didn't really get to go on any big outings because of the coordination of scheduling with naps and their parents' schedule, but we had fun playing at the house. I have two favorite memories from the day. One was around 5pm when Charlotte was napping and I was playing in the playroom withe Eva and Alexis. I was a bit tired, so I was laying on the ground playing with Alexis. She asked me if I was tired and I replied yes. She said, "Do you want to take a nap?" and know that it would be a fun game, I said yes. She asked,"Do you want my kinking (blanket)?" I said yes. She went to her room (which is attached to the play room) and got me her favorite pink blanket that she sleeps with from her bed. I turned over to lay on my back and she put the blanket on me, which only covered from my shoulders to my tummy. I then asked her to get me a pillow and she brought me a monkey stuffed animal and said, "Lift up yours head." She then placed the monkey under my head and directed me to place my head back on it. So I did and shut my eyes pretending to sleep. Eva was coming into the playroom at that moment and Alexis said to her, "Shh, she is taking a nap." and pushed Eva back into their bedroom and slammed the door (she meant to shut the door quietly, but she is so little that it is difficult for her to do so). About a minute later, the door creaked open and both girls came tip-toeing inside. They whispered,"She is still napping." and both gave me a kiss on the forehead and tip-toed back to their room and again the door was slammed. I thought this was both funny and cute, so I continued to lay there with my eyes shut. They came in and repeated the above actions about four times. They then came in and said, "It is time for her to get up." They discussed the best way to get me to wake up and then decided to be roosters. They came over to me and yelled, "Cockadoodledooooooooo" into my ears. I kept my eyes shut which they were confused by. Eva then said, "Oh well, I guess she is really tired." and gave me another kiss on the forehead. Just as she was doing that, I opened my eyes and said, "BOOO". She was startled and then they both started laughing historically. It was so funny.
My other favorite moment of the day was after the girls were supposed to be asleep. Charlotte was, but Eva and Alexis were still chatting. I went into their room to see what they were doing and tell them to be quiet and Alexis said, "I's poopy." I was surprised because she never poops so late at night, but she did. So I took her out of bed and got out a new pull-up and some wipes. As I was pulling off the poopy pull-up Alexis said in the cutest most matter of fact voice she has, "Are you going to hurt me, or no?" At first I was confused, but then I realized she was talking about how sometimes when she is poopy she gets a diaper rash that hurts when she gets wiped. So I replied, "I am going to try not to hurt you, but if you have owies then it might hurt, but we can get cream if it does, okay?" She just stared at me and said, "Oks" She cracks me up. Little Alexis is one of the funniest little two and a half year olds I know. She always seems to have the most witty little phrases to say.

Saturday
Saturdays seem to be the pedal to the medal type of day for me. I wake up and have a list of things to accomplish before the evening. I try to get everything re-organized from a week of work and set myself up for success the coming week. I generally get distracted though and my to do list ends up taking till Sunday to get fully accomplished. Today was no different. I went several places. The bank took an hour plus. I did get a new account though and some free checks and set up my bill pay for both of my credit cards. Then I went to the Good Will to drop off some donations. I ended up going inside though to look for binders. I did find binders, 6 of them for the price of 2 at the regular store so that was happy. I also found however, a pair of sweats for me, and two t-shirts, a long sleeve shirt, a button up shirt, a towel, a sweat shirt, a pair of shorts, and three books for Boaz. So needless to say, I spent a lot of time at the Good Will. Got some other things done today as well. Lots left for tomorrow however.

New Semester
Well, writing on this blog everyday hasn't quite happened yet, but I still have high hopes that it will. It is a new semester and a new day for me. Spring Semester 2010 started on Tuesday. I thought this semester was going to be easier than the last few because I don't have Education class. I still hope that it will be easier, but I am not sure yet if that hope is going to become a reality. I have a lot of classes that are reading intensive. If anyone knows me well, they know that I don't read. I would say that reading is one of the things in life that I am the worst at. I read material and don't understand anything most of the time. Reading to me seems like a huge frustration and waste of time. When I try to read, I sit down for a long time and focus and read and read, then when I get to end I wonder, what did I read? I usually have no idea. This is why I don't like to read. I don't know how I am going to survive this semester while being successful. It is the third day and I am already stressed out immensely. I need a plan, and I need one fast...
